Christmas Gift Ideas For Babies - Gifts That Will Keep Giving For Many Christmases to Come

If you've ever watch very young children open gifts, they seem more enthralled with the box, paper and bows than they do with what's inside the box. This year, why not take that into account when selecting gifts for baby. Here are gift ideas that are sure to delight babies with the wrapping, and will continue to benefit them as they grow older.

Giving a membership is a great way to stimulate baby, but will also allow parents to socialize as well. A membership to a children's museum, indoor play place, the YMCA or YWCA, infant music programs such as Kindermusik, or Musicgarten are all great ways to start to get baby involved with others, and will also provide opportunities for young parents, and not so young parents to meet other families with children of the same age. These are opportunities that families, even those who can afford them, will be eager to have, but might overlook now with the responsibility of a baby in the house.

Now is a great time to give baby a collection of stocks. Depending on the stocks you pick, it won't cost you nearly as much as it would have a year ago as many are cheaper now than they ever have been, and stand an excellent chance of increasing in value. Buy stocks in all those stores that we can't seem to live without, (you know their names) and that seem to be increasing profits in spite of it all. Baby will look back in 10 years or so and give you credit for fostering the entrepreneurial spirit.

Go green and give baby a collection of healthy, organic, and environmentally friendly products. A gift certificate to an organic food store in a basket with some samples of food and snacks for baby, and wine and cheese for mom and dad would provide the healthiest, freshest, and not to mention tastiest food. A gift card to an organic clothing store in a basket with an organic blanket, towels and toys would mean baby could sleep on organic linen, and wear clothes that avoid the use of chemicals and synthetic fabrics that often cause skin and respiratory irritation. And since baby spends most of the first few years of life in his room, an air purifier is an excellent way to create a healthy environment by removing airborne pollutants that can contribute to and aggravate asthma and allergy.

An excellent resource for a HEPA air purifier to remove airborne pollutants from baby's air (an mom and dad's too) is offered by PurerAir.com-- the Baby's Breath Purifier at http://purerair.com/babys_breath.html

It's a great toy and alot of fun for the price. The controls allow you to alter the speed of the main rotor to alter the lift, also the speed of the tail rotor to turn the helicopter. With judicious application of the stick on weights you can balance the model so that it drifts forward when in stable flight. It takes a bit of practice to get this thing to go in roughly the direction you want it too but that is half the fun.

I got this from my wife as a Christmas present. I can't stop playing with it. It is so light and easy to control. The controls take some getting use to, but once mastered it is no problem. My two girls like watching flying low over there heads. I would highley recommend this as a gift.
